On the 27 of September, the Canadian International School of Shenyang-CISS celebrated the International Day of Peace.

21st September, also known as "Peace Day" for short, was established in 1981 by an unanimous United Nations resolution and is observed around the world each year.

Peace Day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.

All of our teachers and students at CISS participated in this Peace Day activity.

Grade 1 and Grade 2 students recited flawlessly the poem “Peace Makers” as a part of an activity included in the Unit of Inquiry they are working on right now about conflicts solving and bullying in the classroom.

Then, Mrs. Allers directed our EAL students to use their angelic voices to sing a song in the name of peace around the world.

After that students, teachers,  performed the symbol of Peace with the staff and students either sitting or staying on the school soccer field, and the whole event was filmed by our Grade 10 student Frederick by taking a zenith picture with his drone and taking some awesome pictures of the activity.
