CISS Warmly Welcomes Students' Return

On February 10, 2025, CISS students returned to campus after the Spring Festival holiday, marking the commencement of a new semester. At dawn, the school entrance radiated festive joy under golden sunlight. Madam Yun A Duan, Executive Director of CISS, and Mr. Gordon, School Principal, led the international faculty and staff in forming orderly lines flanking the gateway. Armed with drumsticks, they warmly welcomed returning students with beaming smiles. 

To the accompaniment of jubilant festival music, Madam Yun A Duan, Executive Director of CISS, and Mr. Gordon, School Principal, led the international faculty and staff initiated powerful drumbeats that resonated like spring thunder across the campus. The rhythmic cadence, both vigorous and uplifting, carried heartfelt aspirations for the coming term. Even before reaching the gates, students quickened their paces, drawn by the magnetic rhythms, their faces alight with anticipation and delight. 

At the gateway's right flank, two majestic lions danced rhythmically with the drums, awaiting the traditional Eye-Dotting Ceremony. With graceful brushstrokes, Madam Yun A Duan infused vitality into the lions by painting their eyes. As the ink touched the ceremonial figures, the creatures seemed to spring to life - their heads swaying, tails whirling, and bodies leaping skyward to students' rapturous applause. This quintessential Chinese cultural tradition not only conveyed CISS's auspicious wishes for scholars but also symbolized the institution's promising prospects in the new year. 

As the last drumbeat faded, the welcoming ceremony at the school gate concluded in perfect harmony. CISS's warmth and heartfelt wishes will journey with students as they embark on a new semester. Every opening day at CISS is a cultural celebration, an awakening of spirits, and the dawn of an exciting new chapter.
